Clay Jones, PMP
Biography
Clay began his professional career with DuPont in 1977 as a mechanical engineer at the Savannah River Site (SRS). He served in a management capacity in a variety of facilities, from nuclear chemical separations to the Savannah River National Laboratory, in nearly every area of the site. He also worked in the commercial Petrochemicals Department for DuPont, as operations manager for a large polyester intermediate production plant. Clay returned to SRS in the mid 80’s and managed numerous projects, including the Effluent Treatment Plant, Navel Fuels Facility and construction completion of the Defense Waste Processing Facility. He is currently the Director of the Project Management Office and Program Integration for the Washington Savannah River Company. Clay is a certified Project Management Professional and is an active member of the Project Management Institute’s Corporate Council. He attended North Carolina State University, where he earned both a BS and MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Clay is married, has two “grown” children and makes his home in Aiken, South Carolina. |
