WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PMCDP?

The developmental, experiential, training, and mentoring activities, which lead to certification of Federal Project Director and other federal project management personnel are found in the CRB issued Certification and Equivalency Guidelines. The PMCDP requirements are competency-based. Click here to view a matrix of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (PMCDP Knowledge Diagram). 

Not all of the competencies listed under each level of PMCDP certification require prior experience.  For example, some of them can be satisfied through the successful completion of specific PMCDP training courses, and others through prior certifications (PMP).  To better aid you in developing a plan of action for how to best approach the different competencies, the PMCDP has developed checklists that identify the different methods that can be employed to satisfy the different competency requirements for each level of PMCDP certification.  Click on the following links for more information about Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 competency satisfaction requirements and alternatives.

A PMCDP module tutorial is available to guide you through the PMCDP competency data entry. This tutorial is broken into chapters and you may pick and choose needed. It is recommended that you read through each chapter before beginning your data entry.
