Government-wide Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI)

While agencies are developing, enhancing, or continuing their own strategic sourcing programs, many of the commodity and services identified for strategic sourcing within agencies are common across agencies.  Accordingly, the FSSI was launched to strategically source across federal agencies, establish mechanisms to increase total cost savings, value, and socio-economic participation, collaborate with industry to develop optimal solutions, share best practices, and create a strategic sourcing community of practice.  The FSSI is chartered under the purview of the Federal Government’s Chief Acquisition Council, led by the General Services Administration and with active participation by more than 20 federal agencies.  Commodity team awards have been made for Office Products and Express and Ground Domestic Delivery Services.  Use the link FSSI information to discover how agencies are saving dollars.  Note that you must first register and be a Federal employee to access this site.
